Just a quick blog to let you all know that I’m rebelling this year. I’m keeping my Christmas tree up…..maybe until Valentines Day ❤.
I’ve already told some people about my decision and I’ve received a wide variety of reactions. “You are”? to “TAKE IT DOWN”, to “oh really” – following side eye like I was crazy. LOL
I opted not to get a real tree this year because my boyfriend and I went to Puerto Rico at the begining of the year. I typically keep my real tree up until the 6th (Little Christmas or Feast of the Three Kings) which as it turns out when Puerto Rico celebrates Christmas. I got my small 5ft fake pre lit tree last year to go in my lady cave (garage converted to a lounge for 2020 COVID). I ended up putting it on my deck last year and it was lovely.
I needed to prolong the joy of the holiday and being in the northeast, a fake snow covered tree still works LOL
How about you? Any decorations still up?
Love your idea of leaving up until Valentine’s Day, I was at my daughter’s for Thanksgiving thru New Years and her tree was beautiful!! I came home January 4th and missed not having a Christmas tree to enjoy till the end of January. I know I could have put my tree up but decided to wait until next year.
